I had so much fun with this senior session in Detroit. I love how rich the colors are in the murals. And can we please talk about how blue and sparkling her eyes are?!?!? I was obsessed and couldn’t take enough close ups! When I asked what colors they wanted or what type of images they wanted, I was told pinks, purples and that she was wearing some floral prints. Read MoreAs I put together the picture order from this awesome grad session, I realized that I never blogged about it. I just couldn’t believe myself!! But I remembered that I wanted to wait until after Dominic’s second session to post. That’s right! Dominic had two sessions and both were equally amazing. We had one full one in and around Downtown Detroit and a second smaller session in the hockey arena that he plays in. It was so great to get creative with hockey images. When I first got into photogrpahy, the majority of what I shot was sports pictures, including hockey. A lot of those images contained the same poses with the same background. I LOVED getting creative and I hope you enjoy them as well!
Read MoreA few of my grad sessions have been on Belle Isle. This session was different. Delaney and her other showed me their favorite spots. It’s not very often that I’m shown the spots on where to shoot. It was an awesome change! I strive to have all my grad sessions to be unique. They may be in the same spot, but show the personality of the grad... not the location. For this reason, I loved this grad session because personality and uniqueness were the main focus. I loved learning more about Delaney and her mom!!

Read MoreIn the age that we live in, it's so easy to get a picture. We have cameras on our cell phones that we can instantly share with the world. The problem with this is that pictures tend to be stored on the computer or our phone. Sometimes they get lost forever when hard drives crash or cell phones get damaged. The Cloud is useful to store images in this situation but again we have it where the images are just being stored.
Those special moments need to be seen and not stored. Pictures deserve to be printed. They need to be on walls, or on tables so when you walk by, you get that special feeling of that memory. Or in albums so when you are feeling nostalgic, you can turn the pages and relive these sacred moments. These prints do not even have to be professional prints. I have prints on my walls of my trips. Every time I look at these prints, I get a wave of memories that will forever keep the trip alive.
