It was fun to get to know him more as an almost adult. I would smile behind my camera throughout the session as he would do things that would remind me of each of his parents separately. I would also smile because there would be times that he looked just like the little boy that would run around the Christmas parties. Then he would shock me by looking like a big kid about to graduate high school! It's such a special honor to be apart of this special time of year. I absolutely love it because it was one of my fave years in high school. So many things are changing that are exciting and scary!!! But definitely a fun time of year :)
Read MoreIn the age that we live in, it's so easy to get a picture. We have cameras on our cell phones that we can instantly share with the world. The problem with this is that pictures tend to be stored on the computer or our phone. Sometimes they get lost forever when hard drives crash or cell phones get damaged. The Cloud is useful to store images in this situation but again we have it where the images are just being stored.
Those special moments need to be seen and not stored. Pictures deserve to be printed. They need to be on walls, or on tables so when you walk by, you get that special feeling of that memory. Or in albums so when you are feeling nostalgic, you can turn the pages and relive these sacred moments. These prints do not even have to be professional prints. I have prints on my walls of my trips. Every time I look at these prints, I get a wave of memories that will forever keep the trip alive.
Read MoreEver since I was young, I loved horses. Everything about them. Their beauty. How majestic they are. Wanting to own one. There was just something about horses. Every book that I read about them, I wanted to be apart of them. I learned all of the types. I even went to a Dude Ranch a couple times and wanted to live the life of the wranglers there. I've tried Western and English and loved both (but prefer Western riding). Every time that I see a horse, I get excited.
When this session said that they wanted to do the shoot with horses, I was 100% all in. I was giddy the whole time. It was amazing. There were two different horses that we shot with and they were both beautiful. Of course, my human subject was also beautiful.
