Weddings are a beautiful thing to me. Whether they be big, or small, as long as the two people getting married have so much love for each other, nothing else seems to matter. But when you can feel the love from the guests, that just makes the day so much better. J & R had so much love for each other and so much love in their presence that I could clearly feel it. My job is to capture the love that is shared. Let's just say it was really easy with these two.

The problem with this is that pictures tend to be stored on the computer or our phone. Sometimes they get lost forever when hard drives crash or cell phones get damaged. The Cloud is useful to store images in this situation but again we have it where the images are just being stored.
Those special moments need to be seen and not stored. Pictures deserve to be printed. They need to be on walls, or on tables so when you walk by, you get that special feeling of that memory. Or in albums so when you are feeling nostalgic, you can turn the pages and relive these sacred moments. These prints do not even have to be professional prints. I have prints on my walls of my trips. Every time I look at these prints, I get a wave of memories that will forever keep the trip alive.

Every book that I read about them, I wanted to be apart of them. I learned all of the types. I even went to a Dude Ranch a couple times and wanted to live the life of the wranglers there. I've tried Western and English and loved both (but prefer Western riding). Every time that I see a horse, I get excited.
When this session said that they wanted to do the shoot with horses, I was 100% all in. I was giddy the whole time. It was amazing. There were two different horses that we shot with and they were both beautiful. Of course, my human subject was also beautiful.

Detroit is well known as the MotorCity. It's history is centered around one main industry; automobiles. For over 100 years, this city has depended on the industry that has moved it!
Detroit weddings are one of my favorites to photograph. A couple years ago, I had the honor of second shooting my cousin's wedding. My cousin worked in the city for as long as I could remember and loved it. My love for the city came later in my life, whereas she loved it for most of hers. It was no surprise that her wedding day revolved around the awesome sights in the city. This was the first wedding where I realized that I loved Detroit to the fullest. This was the day that I knew I wanted to shoot weddings in Detroit for the rest of my life :)
Read MoreIt's no secret that I love to shoot in downtown Detroit. It's the one spot that I hope everyone chooses when they schedule their session. When I got the call for Cody, and all he wanted was graffiti, I was game! It was fun to find new and awesome spots in the city I love. Eastern Market is my favorite shopping spot but it's now my favorite graffiti spot. So many colors, so much artistry, and so many cool spots. I hope you enjoy this session as much as I did!!
